A tissue biopsy cuts out a piece of a tumor to study it. A liquid biopsy studies the tumor's DNA where it already is: in your blood.
Cells die and release fragments of DNA into the bloodstream all the time. Cancer cells do too, and their fragments carry tell-tale patterns: chemical marks on the DNA called methylation, changes in how many copies of certain genes are present, and the characteristic sizes of the fragments themselves. IMBdx's tests read those patterns with deep sequencing and AI-based analysis.
What that means for you is a single blood draw instead of an endoscopy, a scan with radiation, or a needle into an organ. It does not replace those when a doctor orders them; it tells you and your doctor whether to look, and where.

Once cancer is diagnosed, the same blood can answer different questions: which treatment is most likely to work, and after treatment, whether anything is left. These tests are ordered through your oncologist, and we arrange the draw and the logistics.
